Q: Where is the center located?

Q: How do I enroll?

A: Enrollment for 2022-2023 will begin in February 2022. New Family Preschool Registration will open online on February 1, 2022 at 8:00am. Enrollment for the 2021-2022 is closed.
Enrollment documents will be emailed to new families after the initial enrollment request is made on February 1 and will be due to our school office by February 28.


Q: What information will the school need from me to enroll my child?

A: What to bring:

· Your child’s birth certificate

· Your child’s immunization records

You will also need two documents, one from each of the lists below. Both need to be dated within the past 30 days.


One of the following documents:

· Current, unpaid gas or electric bill

· Current rental agreement with deposit receipt must be supplied if renting*

· Recent closing documentation/settlement statement* (ALTA statement) · Current mortgage statement

One of the following documents:

· Current bank statement

· Current credit card or loan statement · Current water bill (mailing & service address must match)

· Welfare, Social Security or other official mail from federal or state agency

*If you moved in the last 2 weeks, a second document from the list above will need to be supplied in 30 days.


Q: Are there both half-day and full-day programming options?

A: There are half-day and full-day options that include classrooms of students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and students without IEPs in an integrated preschool setting, a co-teaching classroom setting, or a full-day preschool setting. Half-day opportunities include: two half-days a week, three half-days a week, and four half-days a week. **At this time, full day program options and AM half-day program options are full for the 2021-2022 school year.


Q: Are there certified teachers working with my child?

A: Yes. Our staff will be a combination of teachers certified in Early Childhood Special Education and Early Childhood Education.  


Q: Do you collect a materials & supplies fee?

A: Yes, the materials & supplies fee will be $100 per year.


Q: What are the tuition rates?

A: Tuition for half-day enrollees will be $20 per day ($40 for two half-days, $60 for three half-days, $80 for four half-days). Tuition for full-day enrollees will be $40 per day ($200 for five full days).
Prices are as follows collected equally over ten months: Half Days: 4 half days-$280.00 per month, 3 half days $216.00 per month, and 2 half days $138.00 per month. Full Days: 5 full days-$680.00 per month, 3 full days (M/W/F)-$432.00 per month, and 2 full days (T/R)-$276.00 per month.
Before- and after-care for full-day program participants will be $7 per session per day. (For example, the charge for a child to attend before- and after-care would be $14 per day.) We will have 169 school days in our preschool calendar.


Q: What schedule does the Early Childhood Center follow?

A: The Early Childhood Center will follow the elementary school year calendar used by our school district with the exception of district early release days on Wednesdays.


Q: What hours is the center open?

A: Full Day preschool runs 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and our Half Day preschool runs 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Before- and after -care for full -day students is available from 7 am to 8:15 am and from 3:15 pm to 6 pm.


Q: Do you have to live in Fort Zumwalt School District to attend the Early Childhood Center?

A: Yes, you must reside in the Fort Zumwalt School District to attend the Early Childhood Center.


Q: How old do students have to be to attend the center?

A: Students must be 3 years of age on or before July 31, 2021, to attend for the 2021-2022 school year. An exception to this rule would be students with an IEP who begin receiving services on their 3rd birthday.
